We ensure the driveway is constructed using industry practice and minimum standards. We begin by providing the demolition and grading of the proposed area. Many locations have soil which is inadequately compacted or consists of soil which should not have concrete placed directly onto it (i.e. clay soil). We prepare the soil also known as the sub grade by compacting it to a greater density through the means of a machined roller, hand compactors, and surface compactors. We then place both a vapor barrier and a sand bed to ensure and even pour, a consistent finish, and limit wet/dry heaving of the soil below. Once the grade has been prepared we begin by placing our forms and reinforcement consisting of either welded wire mesh or rebar. When everything has been prepared the concrete is usually poured from a ready mixed truck through the use of a concrete pump. As the concrete sets we finish the concrete as has been predetermined through our design meetings. Depending on the type of finish we provide a concrete sealer. Within 3-5 days you may now drive onto the driveway and enjoy the beauty and compliments the new driveway may provide.
